Title
Three-Year Renewal of Contract with ESRI for GIS Software and ESRI/GIS Online Map Services in the Total Amount of $97,500 - Jose Duran, IT Director
Body
This is a continuation of the same agreement with ESRI since 2009. The agreement is reestablished every three years with the main change being renewal costs.
GIS is used in many administrative and operational capacities. Office staff often use GIS to answer any number of questions for other staff and public alike. Examples include, and are not limited to, what is the zoning of any given property, how many lane miles of streets does the City maintain, create a map and mailing list for a five-hundred-foot notification zone, can this property be served by water, and showing and counting all structures.
ESRI offers a licensing agreement called an EA, Enterprise Agreement. For a flat rate, the City gains access to the entire library of modules ESRI offers to be installed on as many machines as the City desires including an Online Map Service.
The EA is a three year agreement. Year one: $32,500, year two: $32,500, and year three: $32,500. After the first three-year agreement, if the City chooses to continue with the EA, we will need to enter into a new three-year agreement.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: FY24 Funds approved in FY24 Operating Budget. The cost is FY24 $32,500, FY25 $32,500, FY26 $32,500. Funding source is shared by IT, Water & Sewer, and Building Services.
RECOMMENDATION: Move to authorize the signing of a renewal contract with ESRI for GIS Software and ESRI/GIS Online Map Services.
POTENTIAL MOTION: “Move to authorize the signing of a renewal contract with ESRI for GIS Software and ESRI/GIS Online Map Services. In the amount of FY24 $32,500, FY25 $32,500, FY26 $32,500, subject to Budget Appropriations.”
