Approve a Change Order for Capital Consulting Solutions, LLC, in the Amount of $15,367.50 - Miguel Carballo, Manager of Fleet & Facilities

BACKGROUND:
This project is in collaboration with Collier County and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office to build a boat dock for both agencies. Capital Consulting Solutions, LLC, was procured by Collier County via their Professional Services Agreement, contract 18-7432-CE.
Capital Consulting Solutions was issued a purchase order for the Design Services of the Police Department boat dock on November 28, 2022. The total award of this purchase order was $14,092.50, which consisted of the design for the City of Marco Island’s portion of the dock.
Through the design and permit review process, the project team identified that the following items were needed: utilities, additional dredging, and other required design considerations.
Capital Consulting Solutions presented the City with a change order for the revised Scope of Services. The total cost for these additional services will be $15,367.50.
Per Sec. 2-259 (a) of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, change orders that exceed 25% of the original contract amount requires the approval of the City Council.
FUNDING SOURCE / FISCAL IMPACT: Funds in the amount of $15,367.50 are budgeted and available within the police boat dock and lift project (project number 21026).
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the approval of the change order for Capital Consulting Solutions, LLC, in the Amount of $15,367.50.
